Homestead Princeton Claims Exclusive Spot On America's Top 100 Small Businesses List

PRINCETON, NJ — Homestead Princeton has earned a prestigious national honor, becoming the sole New Jersey business selected for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's 2025 CO—100: America's Top 100 Small Businesses list.

The independent retailer, co-founded by husband-and-wife team Kristin and Ron Menapace, has established itself as one of New Jersey's leading destinations for gifts, furniture, and home furnishings since opening in 2012.

The business launched under dramatic circumstances—opening just 48 hours before Hurricane Sandy made landfall. Despite this challenging start, Homestead Princeton quickly evolved into a beloved community fixture, offering customers a personalized shopping experience featuring carefully curated home décor and distinctive gifts at a time when many independent retailers faced pressure from online competitors and big-box stores.

As Princeton residents who raised four children in the community, the Menapaces built Homestead as a true family enterprise.
