Homestead has partnered with acclaimed architect, Josh Zinder to preserve pieces of Princeton history.
Josh, founder and managing principal of JZA+D, rehabbed the 100+ year old Princeton Freemason Lodge and saved much of the material within.
In the collaboration, JZA+D and Homestead have developed designs for furniture, like the Freemason Beam Console. Thick, century-old beams from the Princeton Freemason Building were used in tandem with a sleek iron base. The local materials were intentionally selected and proudly display the scars of time and use. This piece tells a story of provenance and history.
